The Chesterfield Club has a long and storied history starting in November 1926. Ninety-three years ago, the founding members envisioned an organization that would respond to the needs and aspirations of men in ways that existing clubs did not. Part of its mission statement declares “To seeks to add value to the people of Alabama, especially the citizens of Dallas County through effective, and caring educational, social and civic involvement.” For the last 30 years, the Chesterfield Club has continued to fulfill that mission in part, by awarding these scholarships. The Club has awarded 56 scholarships totaling $72,000.00 since 1989.

The Chesterfield Club Scholarship committee members are Dr. Leroy Maxwell, program chairman, Dr. William Powell, Mr. Dexter Bright, Mr. Al Perry, Mr. Michael Walker, Mr. Clifford Hunter, Rev. Lebarron Mack, and Mr. Paul Olive. Mr. Eric Roussell is the club’s president.

Congratulations to this year’s scholarship recipients.
